DebitDeals is working with local banks and credit unions to provide their debit cardholders with a new incentive to buy from local merchants. By referring a local merchant that "gives back" some percentage of sales, which the merchant determines, cardholders are more likely to purchase locally, and to use debit cards, which helps the merchant lower interchange fees.

A portion of every "give back" goes to the non-profit or charity of the cardholder's choice, and the majority of the remainder of the "give back" goes right to the cardholder to use as he chooses!
